I lie down in my bed,
And memories of her are evoked.
I remember how she would walk in my room,
And we would rant about anything, or everything.
She would tell me stories,
Some funny,
some sad,
and some a little bit of both.
I remember…
I remember the times she drove me to school,
Listening to music,
And singing along to our favorite tunes,
At the top of our lungs,
Wanting people to listen to us.
I remember…
I remember the times we would watch movies together,
Staying up late,
Listening to it on headphones,
Not wanting to alert my parents.
We would laugh and joke,
Repeating lines from the movie,
and laughing some more.
I remember…
I remember the inside jokes we had,
Which only we
would understand.
We would show them off to everyone like a new pair of shoes,
Telling them over and over again,
And then burst out laughing,
Leaving them puzzled.
I remember…
I remember…
I know that I am here,
And you are there,
But you will always be
My sister.
Wow, that was amazing Miguel!
